A phone without Google in it
Every standard Android phone comes with Google built into its core, and it collects constantly. Your location, your contacts, which apps you open and when. You cannot switch this off in settings, it is part of the operating system itself.
So we replace the operating system. We take a brand-new Pixel 10a and install GrapheneOS, a privacy-focused system with no Google in it at all. The phone still does everything you expect. Calls, texts, camera, maps, banking in the browser, all your usual apps. The only real change is what stops: nothing gets reported back to Google, because Google is no longer on the phone.
Two storage options: 128GB or 256GB Most of our customers take the 256GB and never think about storage again.
Why this is the phone we suggest first
The 10a has the same security chip as the more expensive Pixels, a big bright 6.3 inch screen, a battery that gets through a full day without fuss, and security updates until March 2033. That is close to seven years of support. GrapheneOS runs superbly on it because the developers have spent years refining their work on this hardware. If you are getting your first phone without Google, this is the one to get.
Ready to use when it arrives
You will not spend your first weekend working out how to use it. We install a set of trusted private apps before shipping, including Signal for messaging, Brave for browsing, ProtonMail, ProtonVPN and Magic Earth for navigation, plus two app stores for downloading anything else you need, no Google account required. A printed manual walks you through your first week, and we are on email if you get stuck.
